- 180Ma: West and East Gondwanaland split down the east coast of Africa. FIG 4b.
- 130Ma: South America split from Africa/India plate and Africa/India split from Antarctic FIG.4c
- Australia and NZ separated from Antarctica. (FIG 4d)
